Ms. Kate Foster visits DOUALA
Douala, April 10, 2024: The UKCCC was honored with the visit of Ms. Kate Foster, the Director for West Africa, Sahel, Sudan and South Sudan at the Directorate of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development office (FCDO) in London. The British High Commissioner, Barry Lowan accompanied Ms. Kate to Douala. Ms. Kate took the opportunity to discuss her work which stretch across west and most of eastern Africa, a task which takes her frequently across these regions. She was delighted to be in Cameroon and to meet the leaders of the UK businesses operating in Cameroon, all members of the UK Cameroon Chamber of Commerce.
One important agenda item during the visit was the launch of the UK Cameroon Business Guide for bilateral trade between the UK and Cameroon. The UKHC used the opportunity to thank the consultants who worked on the Guide for a job well done. This is a gift from the UKHC to fellow UK and Cameroonian businesses. It is prepared to assist recipients in forming their own judgements regarding business decisions. The content gives very important information to any first-time visitor to both countries but he/she must form his/her own judgments. Legal advice is recommended at all times.
Finally, the UKCCC members and invitees had the opportunity to network and exchange business cards.
